What are your hours?
8 am – 6 pm every day.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are necessary. If there is no scheduled appointment for your pet, it will be classified as urgent care. If you have questions or would like to make an appointment, please call (916) 683-4000, or click here.
How do I get started?

Read over and complete our New Client Registration form. In addition to the client registration form, please also complete the one specific to a dog, a cat, or both, if that applies. These forms are needed to confirm your reservation. You may print, fill in, and bring them with you on your first visit, or fax them to us at (916) 683-4040.

Do you have any suggestions for a new client?

Read over and complete our New Client Registration form. In addition to the client registration form, please also complete the form specific to your pet. You may print, fill in, and bring them with you on your first visit, or fax them to us at (916) 683-4040.

You may also want to have your previous veterinarian fax your pet’s records to us at 683-4040, or bring a copy with you on your first visit.

Are you closed on holidays?
Yes, we are closed on most major holidays.
Is Franklin Ranch taking new clients?

Yes, we are taking new clients. Give us a call to schedule an appointment.

What are the requirements for a wellness appointment?

Wellness appointments are performed by Registered Veterinary Technicians, not a veterinarian. This means that the patient must meet certain criteria, set by the state of California, to be treated.

For patients to qualify for wellness center appointments, they must:

  • Have an established relationship with a doctor at Franklin Ranch (No new patients) 
  • Have been seen within the past year.
  • Have no behavioral concerns
  • Have no chronic health conditions including: Hyperthyroidism, Diabetes, Heart conditions, ect.
  • Be no older than 9 years old
  • Have no Medical Concerns. All medical concerns including: limping, lacerations, skin, and ear concerns all require a medical visit with a doctor.
