Dr. Bethany Jackson
DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Bethany Jackson is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City, followed by a cardiology internship and residency at MedVet Medical and Cancer Centers for Pets in Worthington, OH. She is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the sub-specialty of Cardiology.
Dr. Jackson’s interest in cardiology stemmed from her experience with her own dog being under the care of a veterinary cardiologist. She saw firsthand how access to specialty consultation can help to further patient care. Her goal is to provide timely, accurate, and detailed cardiology consultations to allow accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease in pets so they can live long, fulfilling lives.
Dr. Justin Uhl
DVM, MS, DACVS-SA
Dr. Justin Uhl, DACVS (SA), is a board-certified veterinary surgeon and the founder of Summit Veterinary Surgery. He is committed to surgical excellence—combining advanced technique, meticulous planning, and precise execution to achieve the best possible outcomes for every patient.
Dr. Uhl earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, and later completed a Master’s degree in Comparative Pathology with an emphasis in bone biomechanics. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2010. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship and a rigorous surgical residency at the University of Minnesota. During his residency, Dr. Uhl served as Chief Resident for two years and contributed to hospital quality oversight as a member of the Medical Review Board.
Dr. Uhl’s surgical expertise includes orthopedic, soft tissue, neurologic, and minimally invasive procedures. He has extensive experience treating cranial cruciate ligament injuries, including a high volume of TPLO surgeries, which make up a significant portion of his caseload. His approach is rooted in thoughtful surgical planning, evidence-based technique, and strong collaboration with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless care before, during, and after surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Uhl enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their three daughters, as well as his grandson Rocky. At home, he’s kept busy by two dogs—Nelly, an English Mastiff, and Peaches, a Pug—who help remind him daily why great veterinary care matters.
